A senior five Student has dragged to court her former School, Namirembe Hillside High School along Gayaza Road, for recovery of Sh100 million in damages over negligence that cost her virginity when she got raped by a fellow student.
The student says she was in senior five third term last year when this traumatising incident befell her.
She claims that on 26/October/2016 her tormenter Geoffrey Kalemera, a Senior Six student unlawfully intercepted her, as she was coming from another class, dragged her into a senior 2 class room and pounced on her.
That she then reported the matter to the Headmaster who instead asked her to make a written apology, that subsequently earned her an indefinite suspension.
Through Pearl Advocates and Solicitors she now contends that the conduct of the Headmaster and the entire school administration of failing to subject her case to a prompt and appropriate scrutiny, or forwarding the same to police for investigation and take necessary action, amounted to negligence, discrimination and breach of parental duty of care the School owed her.
