Former UPDF spokesman, Lt Col Paddy Ankunda has eaten big in a latest army reshuffle by the commander in chief and President Museveni.
This is a third reshuffle within two months in the UPDF. The latest reshuffle was announced on Saturday by the Chieftaincy of Personnel and Administration.
In the changes, the former army spokesperson, Lt Col Paddy Ankunda has been sent to the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence as the Director of Strategic Communication, a new directorate formed in 2017.
Ankunda takes over from Lt Col Deo Akiiki who is currently on a military course in the United States of America.
Col Ankunda’s new role dispells rumours that the soft spoken UPDF officer had fallen out President Museveni’s favor when he was dropped as UPDF spokesman and replaced with Brig Richard Karemire.
