In a bid to scoop the forthcoming guild presidential race at Kyambogo University, the ruling National Resistance Movement has laid new strategies to win the hotly contested race that has in the past been held by FDC.
According to the Friday NRM primaries results that saw Kishemeirwe Patricia defeatingTusubira Mathew and Okabaki Brian, all signals provided a ray of hope to the NRM party at the University following the acceptance by those that lost to fully rally behind the winner.
Edgar Nahabwe the Kyambogo NRM Chairman while in an interview with The Ugandan said all was set for his party to win the next guild presidential race.
“The unity and cooperation shown in NRM primaries is a clear manifestation that we are going to win this race. In addition to the party strength here, we have the best candidate that can lead Kyambogo University to greater heights”
The NRM National youth league led by its chairman Gadaffi Nasur and General Secretary Moris Muhindo has since then pitch camped in Kyambogo University to rally behind their candidate and mobilise support for Kishemeirwe.
Following the peaceful NRM primaries organized by the National League, it was evident that the team was well organized to grab the guild president seat at the Banda based Kyambogo University.
Other parties have not yet held their primary elections to select their flag bearers which NRM takes as a great advantage.
