On Tuesday afternoon, family and friends gathered to receive the body of the late Dr Margaret Mungherera, one of the country’s senior consultant psychiatrists that arrived at Entebbe international airport.
The late Senior consultant psychiatrist Dr. Margaret Mungherera succumbed to cancer in an Indian Hospital on 4th February 2017. She had been admitted in Nsambya hospital for a week before deciding to get better and advanced medical care.

On Wednesday morning, her body will be taken to Mulago Medical school where there she has worked as a senior Psychiatric consultant for the past 12 years for a public viewing. A requiem mass will be held on Thursday at All Saints Cathedral and after, a vigil at the family home in Mpererwe on Friday. She will be laid to rest in Bujumba, Butaleja District on Saturday.
