Kampala lord Mayor Elias Lukwago has vowed to tussle it out with Kampala minister Betty Kamya who he accuses of wanting to hijack KCCA business and take over his role of being the face of Kampala.
While speaking to our reporter on Monday afternoon at City House, Lukwago said that Kamya is failing to know her roles as a minister which is to play an oversight role and supervision.
Lukwago accuses the minister of politicizing and trying to hijack Kampala Capital City Authority especially wanting to rule by decree in influencing what should be discussed that is in favour of the ruling government.

Both the Lord Mayor and the minister have very often locked horns with the recent battle being the directive from Kamya blocking Lukwago’s salary arguing that he is occupying his office illegally since it is not gazetted anywhere in the constitution.
