NRM Electoral Commission boss Dr Tanga Odoi has revealed that the diffrences between him and state minister for health in charge of general duties Hon Sarah Opendi are social dating way back from their early childhood days.
Tanga says for a minister to make defamatory statements in public against him basing on social differences is uncouth and will seek legal redress if the NRM secretary General kasule Lumumba doesnot intervene.
“I have had social differences with Achen since she was a girl. I didn’t want to take her for a girlfriend. That one she knows but that should not go to the extent of using, a church occasion or a burial to attack a person who is not even there!” exclaimed Dr Tanga.
This follows utterances by the state minister over the weekend in Tororo at an occasion on which Kasule Lumumba was the chief guest.
“Can you imagine a whole minister like me being accused of witching an LC5 chairman? May be our brother might be having a mental illness that we don’t know and our secretary general it is important that we go and check him medically” said Opendi.
Tanga has therefore vowed to take the matter to court incase Lumumba fails to state her position on the legality of the Minister to defame a fellow government employee with whom they canvassed the country looking for President Museveni’s votes.
