The Uganda National Examinations Board UNEB have released the 2017 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education Examinations on Wednedsay.

UNEB officials however withheld results of 79 candidates (0.06% of the total candidates that sat) from 24 centers.

UNEB secretary Daniel Odongo also says most common forms of exam breaches being external assistance, substitution and smuggling of unauthorized materials into exam rooms. Sub Maths, Biology & Economics were the most affected subjects.

Female candidates despite being few performed better than their counterparts with higher number of candidates scoring 3 principle passes.

A total of 41,932 female candidates registered for UACE in 2017.

“Whereas gender parity has been attained at UCE, at this level (UACE), the gap between males and females taking these exams is still wide with parity index of 0.7,” he said.

This is the last batch of results to be released by UNEB, following the release of U.C.E and Primary leaving examination results.
